Salt crystal is the raw material for the second step of Guh Technology (tubes, sensors, the Nom Hatch, the Nibble Battery). It comes from the crystal vein of the Salt Crystal Mine, from salt crystal ore and now and then from bone sand.

The crystal veinDe kristalader
The crystal vein in the cave of the Salt Crystal Mine never runs out. Every player has a stock of their own in it: at most 24 crystals, and every half minute one grows back. A pickaxe chops one crystal out at a time, the Salt Crystal Pickaxe two. The block itself always stays, so it does not matter who was there before you. The vein only gives salt once you have cleared the track for the Mineworker Guh.

Salt crystal oreZoutkristalerts
In the rocks of the Guh Barbecuether there is salt crystal ore: charcoal stone with crystals in it. That ore only appears in pieces of world where nobody has ever been. Whoever lives in a Guh Barbecuether that was already explored therefore gets their salt from the crystal vein.
In de rotsen van de Guhbarbecuether zit zoutkristalerts: houtskoolsteen met kristallen erin. Die erts ontstaat alleen in stukken wereld waar nog nooit iemand is geweest. Wie in een al verkende Guhbarbecuether woont, haalt zijn zout dus uit de kristalader.
